It’s dropping several months later than expected, but I’m still planning to show up for Kena: Bridge of Spirits on day one – which now happens to be August 24, 2021. Some of us tend to associate this fantasy action-adventure game with PS5, but it’s also releasing on PS4 and the Epic Games Store.
Ember Lab brought a new trailer to today’s State of Play stream – a mix of quality animation work to set up the little critter premise and surprisingly fast-moving combat gameplay sequences.
“We’re taking the next few months to further polish and optimize for the best possible game,” said COO Josh Grier. “It’s been quite an experience completing our first title during the pandemic.”
I’m particularly stoked about the budget-friendly price tag: the standard edition is $40, and PS4/PS5 copies are bundled. If you end up pre-ordering Kena, you’ll also get Celebration Hats for the spritelings.
