Sony is doing automatic refunds for digital copies of The Last of Us Part II and Iron Man VR

Be on the lookout for an email

Here’s a short but worthwhile update for The Last of Us Part II and Iron Man VR, two nearly-finished games that Sony delayed indefinitely due to logistical constraints brought on by COVID-19. If you pre-ordered either game from the PlayStation Store, you can expect to get an automatic refund from Sony.

The Last of Us Part II and Iron Man VR have been delayed,” the publisher noted. “All digital pre-order consumers will automatically receive a refund. Please check your email for more details.”

As we covered before, Sony wants Iron Man VR and especially The Last of Us Part II to have the best possible global launch, and there are so many other factors to line up beyond the digital PlayStation Store side of things. There’s only one launch day, and if they whiff it, that’s it – no second chances.

It’s been a frustrating turn of events for everyone involved, and I don’t doubt we’ll see more delays.
