PC show pushed back one week
The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition has been officially rescheduled. It will now take place between June 16-22, one week later than its originally advertised dates of June 9-14. The reschedule was announced at the weekend by the show’s organiser, Geoff Keighley.
While no reason was given for the reschedule, it is snug to assume that the event is taking a backseat due to the ongoing civil unrest in America and worldwide, as people take to the streets in various protests against the systemic racism embedded within society. Numerous shows and live streams planned for this month have been rescheduled, including Sony’s PS5 reveal and the EA Play Live event.
The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition is a one-week online event in which a bevy of developers will be advertised upcoming PC wares. The event will feature a run of announcements, trailers, interviews, and playable demos. It is one of the many events taking place in lieu of E3 2020, which was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
