The new One Piece game will take us to the very recent Wano Country arc

Pirate Warriors 4 is taking a trip

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is shaping up to be possibly the most successful Musou spinoff series to date, as the operation keeps on chugging along with Pirate Warriors 4 in 2020.

Set to debut on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch (it’s crazy how much this one blossomed, as it was originally only available on PS3), Bandai Namco has revealed at TGS that the new iteration will actually deal with the Wano Country arc: a very recent and relevant storyline from the currently ongoing anime. Zoro and Carrot will make an appearance as playable characters, and the shapeshifting, electric-wielding latter fighter sounds like she’s going to be fun to play. Kurozumi Orochi, the shogun of Wano Country, will likely be a cool foe to take on too.

Now when the game debuts the arc will have been four months old at a minimum, but it’s nice to see Pirate Warriors 4 try to spice things up with newer arcs instead of sticking to the past.
