Kojima Productions has announced that the upcoming PC port of surreal adventure game Death Stranding will no longer meet its June 2 release. As is the case for many of this year’s major releases, development has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19/coronavirus pandemic.

“Following the temporary closure of Kojima Productions, we have had to delay the PC launch of Death Stranding to July 14, 2020,” reads a brief statement on Twitter. “Thank you all for your patience and continued support!”

A little under a month ago, it was reported that a Kojima Productions employee had tested positive for COVID-19, having been working from home since March 20. There have been no further reports of any team members contracting the virus, but obviously it is safer that everyone remain in isolation for now.

Death Stranding is available now on PS4 and launches on PC July 14.
