This weekend will see a selection of Guilty Gear fans battle it out in a closed beta for the fighting franchise’s upcoming entry, Guilty Gear Strive. To help get players off to a fist-throwing start, Arc System Works has been dropping “Starter Guides” all week, giving players a heads-up on the beta roster.

Today sees the release of the final video in the series, and looks at the comical but menacing Faust. The bizarre, reality-bending physician is one of GG‘s weirdest and most popular characters. In the wild world of Guilty Gear, Faust is a reformed murderer on a mission to uncover the truth about the one killing he wasn’t responsible for. Faust is immediately recognised by the paper bag he wears to hide his shame, as well as his giant novelty scalpel which, unsurprisingly, comes in very handy in battle.

The Guilty Gear Strive closed beta went live yesterday for Vs. COM play, with online play being made available today, tomorrow, and Sunday during specific time windows. Check out this guide for server times. Don’t forget that the beta will feature  delay-based netcode, while the full release of GG:Strive is expected to utilise rollback netcode. Don’t forget to check out the guides for Sol Badguy & Ky Kiske, May & Axl Low, and Chipp Zanuff & Potemkin.

Guilty Gear Strive launches later this year exclusively on PS4.
