All Elite Wrestling looking to produce its own video game

I’m ALL IN for anything that isn’t the 2K series

The Young Bucks, superkick-loving tag team of fledgling company All Elite Wrestling (AEW) have revealed the promotion’s hopes of producing their own video game in the future.

The comments came at the end of an interview conducted with Chris Van Vliet on the latter’s YouTube channel. When asked by Van Vliet if the company was hoping to feature in a video game, The Young Bucks – Nick and Matt Jackson – responded with a simple yes, adding that AEW would like “a little bit of everything”. Of note, someone off-camera quickly gestures for the boys to ixnay the topic, which only adds fuel to the fire.

This possibility will come as no surprise to regular wrasslin’ fans, who are fully aware that AEW promoter Cody Rhodes, along with stars The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, are all enthusiastic video game fans. Omega in particular made his name in Japan with various mid-match Street Fighter moves, and AEW’s first pay-per-view featured an opening that paid tribute to LJN’s 16-bit games, such as WWF Royal Rumble.

AEW’s next show, Fight for the Fallen, will take place tomorrow, July 13 in Jacksonville, Florida. All proceeds from the show will be donated toward the victims of gun violence. Good work, fellas.
