Just Cause 4 gets goofy with Trials, Toys and Terror DLC update

Y’all remember Power Wheels?

Following on from its previous stunt-fests and demon invasions, Avalanche’s highly-volatile open-world adventure Just Cause 4 continues its run of weird and wild updates. The new update Trials, Toys and Terror, might be the most amusing yet.

First up, a run of free new challenges have been added to the game. Conquering these will award the player with a handful of slick new parachute and wing-suit designs, including a delightfully 2001 indie-wrestler “flame” look. Also added for all players is a new retro skin, that dresses up hero Rico Rodriguez in his classic Just Cause 2 getup.

Best of all, a selection of hilarious new vehicles have been added in a new black market update, which allows Rico to cause untold damage in a child-sized tank, jet fighter or battle boat. Rico’s enemies will respond with their own micro-machines, which will make for some frankly weird-looking, but very funny chaos.

The previously-revealed Los Deminos DLC goes live for Early Access/Season Pass owners today, before its official launch on July 3. Just Cause 4 is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
