Fallout 76’s next update offers true solo experiences

Update 16

Fallout 76, offer true solo experiences, for a series that is predicated on true solo experiences? Highly unlikely, but okay!

Amid a free trial and double XP weekend (it starts on December 12 at 11AM ET and goes to December 16 at 12PM ET), Bethesda has shared its new plans for Update 16, which include a few big changes across several modes.

Nuclear Winter (PVP) now offers more map choices, and players will be able to vote between Forest and Morgantown when Update 16 drops. Most notably private worlds can be toggled for a true solo experience, which will come in handy for when that NPC update arrives and actually gives us a reason to play solo. There’s also going to be another Christmas event (Holiday Scorched) from December 12 at 11AM ET through December 26 at 12PM ET.

Update 16 is scheduled for release on December 10: you’ll get the full patch notes then. Make sure you claim the free Santatron bot from the Atomic Shop, which is available “for a limited time” after the update drops.
