It begins: Pokemon Sword and Shield plush figures are on the way

I kind of want that bulbous Eldegoss

Pokemon Sword and Shield just recently launched on Switch, and although many are lamenting the loss of some of their favorite creatures, a lot of them are celebrating the arrival of new ones.

Eldegoss is one of my new favorites, Yamper is adorable and I love the tricky sleazy vibe of Impidimp’s whole evolutionary line. Naturally, The Pokemon Company is going to capitalize on some of that love with some new toys. Plush toys, of course! Revealed by way of the Japanese Pokemon Center, the toys will be coming on December 14 for roughly 2,000 yen on average (roughly $18 US), in the form of Corviknight, Wooloo, Drednaw, Eldegoss and Gossifleur. Again, these are Japan-exclusive for now.

One of my favorite places to pick up Pokemon merch is the main store at Epcot Japan: hopefully they stock some of these!
