Assassin’s Creed IV and Rogue are Switch-bound this December

December 6

There’s a lot of Assassin’s Creed games out there, and in spite of the greatness of Odyssey and Origins, a lot of them still hold up. One of those classics is Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, a game that many other open world games have modeled themselves after.

Boasting a huge world and ship travel (with shanties!), Black Flag completely re-invigorated the franchise and provided a soft reboot of sorts, doing away with the tired Desmond side arc. Naturally Ubisoft jumped at the ability to ride the coattails of a successful subfranchise and gave us Rogue a year later.

If you never jumped into the world of Black Flag before and only own a Switch, you’ll get a chance to do just that on December 6, as Ubisoft is releasing “The Rebel Collection” on that date. Be wary, though, as there were a ton of reported issues with the previous ACIII/Liberation dual pack released on Switch this past May. Also, you can pick up ACIV used on PS4 or Xbox One for five to 10 bucks.
