In a surprise drop, thatgamecompany and Annapurna Interactive have released their unique adventure title Journey for the iOS platform, allowing players to traipse through its weird and evocative worlds while on the go.

Journey, which launched on PS3 in 2012 before eventually being ported to PS4 and PC, turned heads and won critical praise with its strange story of a lonely figure on a long, seemingly aimless odyssey through a highly-stylised world. The player can be joined by another player, but there is no open communication between the pair. Told without words and presented without any open exposition, Journey is a unique trip, which was quite unlike anything else at the time.

Journey is available now on iOS devices, priced at around $5
