Sega’s videogame celebrity open: Sega Superstar Tennis

Recommended Videos

I’m a pretty big fan of the simplicity of Pong, and Sega’s Virtua Tennis kept me entertained through at least one sequel, but I’ve grown tired of knocking balls back and forth. I must admit, though, that Sega Superstar Tennis has piqued my interest.

The gang’s all here! These new screenshots (from the Xbox 360 version of the title) show off some of our old pals: Sonic the Hedgehog, AiAi, Ulala, Dr. Robotnik, Amigo, and even that creepy bee chick-thing from Samba De Amigo. With a superstar cast like this, how could the Sumo Digital developed title fail to hit the right notes with the crowd who longs for the good old days of the Sega Dreamcast?

Xbox 360 owners aren’t the only ones who will get a chance to get all “40-love” on Dr. Robotnik’s ass on the Green Hill Zone courts — Sega Superstar Tennis is also coming to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, and the Nintendo DS.
