A Steam database entry pretty much ensures Sunset Overdrive is coming to PC

We already knew about the ESRB listing

It’s been years since I’ve heard people talk about Sunset Overdrive, so when it popped up in my news feed a few days ago my eyes lit up. It kind of went under the radar as it was an Xbox exclusive, but thanks to a new ESRB listing for PC, it’s going to get a new lease on life.

That listing isn’t the only thing we have to go off of either, as Steamdb managed to catch “Unknown App 847370” as Sunset Overdrive, which means that an announcement is likely imminent. Given Microsoft’s staunch pivot from console exclusives to “everything is basically on PC and Xbox now,” it would make sense to grab from a rich back catalog and bring all the old stuff in line.

For those of you who missed it, Sunset Overdrive is a vivid and wacky open world game by Insomniac (who is now riding high on Spider-Man PS4, another open world romp) that leans heavily on comic book and punk motifs. I’m glad a lot of you are going to be able to experience it.

Unknown App 847370 [Steam] Thanks Jeff!
