Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal delayed as Xseed removes ‘Intimacy Mode’

Platform holder wishes

When Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal releases later this fall, there will be two versions of the game available. One will be on Steam and include everything mode found in the original Japanese release. The other will be on the PlayStation 4 and it will hit retailers without Intimacy Mode. The mode, which is part of the series standard dressing room, allows players to spray down and grope the girls of the game. Basically, it’s Senran Kagura Reflexions.

Despite the fact Intimacy Mode is included in Peach Beach Splash, it seems Sony has asked Xseed to remove it from the console version of Re:Newal. This move will require a slight delay and the publisher is expected to announce a new release date soon.

This is not the first time Sony has taken action against a game with sexual content. Earlier this year, booby dungeon crawler Omega Labyrinth Z had its western release canceled due to “the wishes of the platform holder.”
