If you name your video game something evocative like “Creaks,” you kiiind of have to nail the sound design. So far so good on that front. I like what I’m hearing (and seeing) of this densely-packed new world from illustrator Radim Jurda and the lovably peculiar adventure game studio Amanita Design.
Creaks looks much more active than some of Amanita’s other titles, what with all of those threats chasing the curious protagonist. I also like that it has a horror tint without trying to be outright scary.
The team is planning a 2019 release for “PC and consoles.” We’ll just have to follow along.
