PS3 The Orange Box coming to US, Europe December 11

If The Orange Box isn’t the game of the year, it’s most certainly the deal of the year. Five games for the price of one is hard to beat. Xbox 360 and PC owners have been loving it since October, and PlayStation 3 gamers need wait no longer. Electronic Arts has announced that the PS3 version of The Orange Box will be available in stores on December 11.

After UPS trolls seemingly nabbed the copy I was supposed to receive last week, I finally have the game in hand. I sat down for about a half an hour this morning to spend some time with my digital sweetheart, Portal, and here’s the deal — so far, it seems that rumors of a shoddy framerate ruining the experience are greatly exaggerated.

I plan on spending most of my evening cuddled up underneath a warm blanket to experience The Orange Box goodness on the PS3. Check back tomorrow for hands-on impressions, and find out whether or not it does indeed “suck” on Sony console.
