Today is a beautiful day, folks. No only did a new Taiko no Tatsujin game (Taiko no Tatsujin DS 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken) come out for the DS a few days ago, but thanks to the glory of the internet, I can read the menus in English instead of blindly stabbing at the DS screen with my stylus until something recognizable happens. Happy! I think the guys in the picture above may be almost as thrilled as I am (but I hear Taiko hats have that effect on people.)
If you too love Japanese rhythm games and can’t resist lots of inanely happy faces and strange phenomenon like unidentifiable dancing animals, I’d advise you bounce over to Siliconera and check out the menu translation, If you have no idea what I’m talking about, go back and read my previous posts about the title, in which I get overexcited to the borderline of meltdown. By the way, if you are turned off by trying to read a game in Japanese but are thinking of trying out the US version of Taiko Drum Master instead, I have to urge you to pass on that — this game is all about the music, folks, and the American version just don’t got it goin’ on.
