Xbox has announced, via their Mexican twitter account, that their very-long awaited cyber shooter, Crackdown 3, will be playable at the upcoming XO18 event, which takes place in Mexico City next month.

It will be the first opportunity for people to get their hands on the missing-in-action sequel since its last appearance at E3 in 2017, some three years following its initial announcement. Finally scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2019, this will be a great opportunity for fans and press to get their hands on what has to be a pretty concise build at this point in time.

Set ten years after the events of Crackdown 2, the new game will see operatives of The Agency called into action when a new terrorist threat, Terra Nova, launches an attack on the world’s energy supplies. No doubt we can expect all of the ballistic, explosive action that has become the series trademark.

The XO18 event takes place in Mexico City on November 10. Crackdown 3 is currently scheduled for release on Xbox One and PC in February 2019.
