Grim cinematic trailer for Overkill’s The Walking Dead introduces Maya

Strabreeze have released a new trailer for their upcoming co-op shooter based on hugely-popular zombie franchise The Walking Dead. The trailer introduces us to one of the game’s protagonists, Maya.

In the excellent two-minute spot Maya, a young hospital worker attempts to come to terms with the aftermath of a massacre which begins after a wounded man is rushed onto her ward. The short preview does a great job of conveying mood and emotion, as well as streamlining her life-changing day into just a few short minutes.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a first-person shooter which features four player co-op. Each of the game’s protagonists will be have exclusive skills, roles and abilities, as well as their own personalities and story arcs. The game is hoping to focus on players utilising teamwork and adaptive improvisation to survive the living nightmare.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead launches on PS4, PC and Xbox One this Fall.
