Sylvanas Windrunner has catapulted to the forefront of Warcraft lore in recent years, which has caused all sorts of debate as to whether or not she’s worthy of all the attention. As a former High Elf turned undead by the Lich King she’s undergone quite a few changes throughout the overarching narrative, and now she’s the Warchief of the Horde.
Get a quick glimpse into her emotional journey in the video below (you can also see this in-game with the horde Legion storyline), part of the “Warbringers” series that focuses on major players in the upcoming Battle for Azeroth expansion. Is Sylvanas acting of her own accord or is she influenced by an otherworldly force like the Old Gods?
It’ll probably take several months, if not more, to unravel that mystery. Blizzard will save most of the major machinations for later to spice things up.
