Nintendo just released a whole bunch of Octopath Traveler alternate box art

A use for My Nintendo

Alternate box art is a blessing. It reminds me of a bygone era with full-color manuals, Working Designs pack-ins (a legacy that companies like NIS and Atlus keep going to this day), and little trinkets with your shiny new game. It’s not quite the same but Nintendo just dropped a bunch of new Octopath Traveler art on us by way of a digital delivery system.

All you need to do is dust off your My Nintendo account, pay 50 Platinum Points for the whole collection, and you’re good to go. There are eight (imagine that!) which are based off of each main character — so you can pick your favorite. The offer is good until January 1, 2019.

I’m partial to Cyrus, Therion, and Alfyn myself.
