Another cutesy retro title is making the leap to the Switch format, as 2016’s Rabi Ribi is coming to Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made by Western publishers Winking Entertainment.

Rabi Ribialready out on PC, PS4 and PS Vita — is a hybrid game that mixes a Metroidvania adventure with bullet-hell elements. It tells the fluffy tale of Erina, a common-or-garden rabbit, who is unwittingly transformed into a half-human. Along with her new fairy friend, Ribbon, Erina beings a journey to return to her ordinary form, clearly having decided that sitting in a field twitching your nose was a better lot than being able to walk, talk, and attack people with a huge mallet.

Players control Erina and Ribbon through a colourful, 16-bit styled world encountering many other anthro-characters and dodging screen-filling projectiles. The game features 60 upgrades and skills, over 40 boss fights, and takes a visual novel approach to its storytelling.

The Switch release of Rabi-Ribi is expected sometime in 2018. The game is available now on PS4, PC and PS Vita.
