Last-minute delay pushes Megaton Rainfall to October

I just wanna fly

That promising first-person superhero game Megaton Rainfall hit a last-minute snag. It was supposed to launch yesterday on PC and PlayStation 4, but it’s now targeting an October 17, 2017 release.

What happened? Writing on Facebook, Pentadimensional Games explained that it “underestimated how long [it would take] to go through all the bureaucracy in this (crowded) time of the year” and offered an apology “to those of you that have been waiting for this game for years.”

My fingers are firmly crossed that things work out and the optional PlayStation VR support meets expectations. The concept — soaring across Earth, battling aliens while trying not to cause too much collateral damage in the process — is just too dang good. Seriously, catch this trailer.
