Rumors have been swirling for a follow up to SteamWorld Dig for years now, and today during its “Nindies Showcase” event, Image & Form have revealed that yes, it will be getting a sequel — simply called, SteamWorld Dig 2.
Not much is known about the story, but it will feature a new character and will still have the same dig-heavy underground gameplay as the first. Right now the only platform that’s confirmed is the Switch, which is set for a summer 2017 release.
