Xbox’s Black Friday games sale is live for everyone right now

[Update: Now Xbox’s Black Friday sale is available for everyone. A few games were added like Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3. New titles will be added to the top of the list that’s at the bottom of this post. We’ll continue to update as more games go on sale.

Also note that Gold subscribers should see slightly better discounts than non-Gold members, though. In that case, it’s probably worth getting a month of Gold for the promotional price of $1 because you’ll end up saving more than that.]

One week until Turkey Day means that the holiday shopping season is in full swing. It used to be that you waited until Black Friday for these sorts of sales, but the one-upmanship of the retail sector means that these things come earlier and earlier.

For instance, Xbox’s Black Friday sale is already live for Xbox Live Gold members. Below are mostly all the Xbox One titles that are discounted this year. Microsoft says to check back on November 25 for more deals. That’s, presumably, when exclusives like Gears of War 4 will go on sale.

In the meantime, there’s plenty to peruse. Some of the better games from 2016 are listed here. Inside, Hitman, Xcom 2, Hyper Light Drifter — there’s some good stuff here. Also, note that savings on Deep Silver titles are especially decent; both Metro remasters, Saints Row IV, and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell all for $11 seems like an exceptional deal.

Also, note that these are just the Xbox One games that are discounted. There are a bunch more Xbox 360 titles (many of them backward compatible) that have their prices slashed. The people at NeoGAF have a list of those nicely compiled.

Anyone who doesn’t have Xbox Live Gold has to wait until November 22 to see the savings. Alternatively, they can get a month of Gold for $1 and take advantage of the sale right now. Either way works.
