Here’s one last look at the kraken in Sea of Thieves before launch

I wonder how long it’ll take before the first crew slays it

We want what we can’t have and boy do I want to fight the kraken in Sea of Thieves. Rare has been teasing the monster for some time now, offering quick peeks here and there in promotional videos. Today marks our best (official) look at the beast yet, which is fitting: it’s launch-trailer day.

Aside from the kraken, the video also has a dash of player and ship customization.

Just as a quick housekeeping note, I’ll be reviewing Sea of Thieves for Destructoid, but given the online nature of the game, don’t expect to see reviews go up ahead of launch on March 20. I’m planning to start playing right when the floodgates open and I intend to get a review-in-progress up as soon as I have a confident feel for the game’s sense of progression and mechanics not seen in the beta.
