While the lush, robot-filled grasslands make for the more interesting setting, it was neat to see the world of Horizon Zero Dawn before it gets overtaken by nature, back when it was filled with skyscrapers and urban-living.

The team was cagey at E3 — do check my hands-on with the game and interview with writer John Gonzalez — about story details, but Aloy is trying to discover what’s up with all these machines and what happened to the world. And we were promised a satisfying answer.

Also that gator at 1:20 was new to me and badass as hell.
