Perennially delayed Gran Turismo franchise gets another delay

For Gran Turismo Sport

Recommended Videos

When I was growing up, there were certain companies or franchises that were synonymous with delays — and given the amount of polish Gran Turismo always had, that series constantly came to mind.

It’s happening yet again too, because while Gran Turismo Sport was set for a release this year, it’s been pushed back into 2017. And that “2017” is the window, as no further details have been shared. “More time to perfect” the game was the reason given by Kazunori Yamauchi, the head of developer Polyphony Digital.

In many ways, Forza and several indie racing games have surpassed the GT series, so I’d love to see it return to form with Sport. Maybe it’s been moved to a Neo optimized release?
