Kim ‘Geguri’ Se-yeon could be the first woman signed to the Overwatch League

A needed jolt for the Shanghai Dragons

Recommended Videos

You’ve probably heard about Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon at some point since the launch of Overwatch. She’s so good that people thought she was cheating, and had to literally prove her skills before she was accepted as a force in the pro scene. According to reports from ESPN we could be seeing a whole lot more of her, too.

Based on rumblings from ESPN, Se-yeon is set to sign with the Shanghai Dragons and become the first woman to join the Overwatch League. Right now the Dragons are 0/8, so they could really use the injection of some great players like Se-yeon, and it makes perfect sense that they’d want to make pickups and roster shakeups this early to prevent a losing record.

Right now there’s no official confirmation from the League, and we’ve reached out for more details. Make no mistake though — if not now, Se-yeon will probably be involved in the League eventually.
