Metroidvania roguelite Dead Cells coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One

One of the best-feeling games in recent memory

Dead Cells, y’all — it’s legit. You don’t even have to take it from me. Ray had a lot of praise for Motion Twin’s Castlevania-inspired action-platformer roguelite in his Steam Early Access review last year.

If you were hoping the game would make it over to consoles, that’s indeed happening. Dead Cells will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.

If those hits in the trailer look like they carry a satisfying thwack to them, you’d be correct.

I poked around in the Early Access version, adored what I played, and decided to put Dead Cells on the backburner until it’s done. I’m feeling extra good about that decision in light of this Switch news.
