Game Critics Awards

In addition to being Destructoid’s Game of the Show, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has won the Game Critics Award for “Best of Show” at E3 2016. After last year (Fallout 4 was the big winner among critics; we chose The Phantom Pain here on Dtoid), it’s nice to see a consensus.

The open-world Zelda also pulled in enough votes from the 40 or so participating media outlets (including Destructoid) to earn “Best Console Game” and “Best Action/Adventure Game.”

You can read the full list of winners below. Keep in mind, only games available for hands-on testing were up for the main award categories, hence the lack of titles like Insomniac’s Spider-Man.
