Novels will link Mass Effect 3 with Andromeda

We got our first real look at Mass Effect: Andromeda at E3 this year, and even then we still basically know nothing about it.

That will change over time though, as Titan Books has inked a deal to produce more novelizations about the franchise, which includes Mass Effect: Andromeda Initiative in August. This will be the start of a series of tales (three more are planned) through 2018 that will seek to link the main trilogy with the new upcoming era.

Keeping the same world/tentpole brand name intact but going for a completely new cast sounds like a half-measure, but if that’s what it takes to get a new Mass Effect game out the door, I’ll give it a shot.
