Insomniac’s Spider-Man project is a ‘culmination’ of all its previous work

No new footage, but here’s some insight

Insomniac’s PS4 Spider-Man project came out of nowhere during Sony’s E3 conference the other day. While the trailer basically told us nothing, Bryan Inthihar from Insomniac Games and Bill Rosemann from Marvel have shared some more information on the game, noting that it’s a “brand new world” and a “brand new story,” with a “slightly older Peter Parker” (no origin story please, we know who Spider-Man is).

There’s a lot of talk in the sit down that I’d chalk up to regular ol’ PR speak (“20-30 years of pent up excitement”), but Insomniac has a good head on its collective shoulders, and I think there’s definitely truth to it (at least from Inthihar’s perspective).

In the past I’d be a bit dubious of Insomniac handling a game like this since most of their focus has been on the Ratchet series in the past 10 years, but Sunset Overdrive pretty much speaks for itself.
