CD Projekt Red trademarks Gwent: The Witcher Card Game

Here’s a fancy logo

Gwent, the in-universe (and real) card game from The Witcher series might be getting a full-on release soon. By way of the EUIPO site we’ve found that CD Projekt Red has trademarked the name “Gwent: The Witcher Card Game,” with a colorful new logo. It could indicate a physical tabletop release, or [more likely] a Hearthstone-like PC and mobile game. We’ll probably know more come E3.

My love for The Witcher 3, much like Jasmine for Aladdin, grew over time. At first I was annoyed by a bunch of issues in Wild Hunt, then after they were smoothed out I was wowed by Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. It had a good run, and even though the trilogy seems done for now, the world will live on!
