After days of hype and months of waiting in general, Atlus held a Persona 5 livestream this morning. It involved a lot of teasing — like, hours of teasing to be exact, but we did end up getting a worthwhile new trailer as well as a release date.

Persona 5 will officially launch in Japan on September 15, and pre-orders start tomorrow. A special edition, Persona anniversary soundtrack set, a lot of DLC costumes, and an art book have been confirmed, which you can view in the gallery below. We don’t have any new information on a localization at this time, but that’s kind of soon!

Later on in the stream Atlus also confirmed Persona 5: The Animation, titled “The Day Breakers.” It’ll air in Japan before the game is out in September as a prequel special.
