InLight Entertainment speculates on developing for the DS

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Darren McGrath and Mike Lowry of InLight Entertainment shared their thoughts on developing for the DS and had lots of positive things to say:

“The DS captures the market we’re targeting with this game – the ever expanding casual gamers sector. Nintendo has been very smart with making a fun system that is affordable so everyone can enjoy games like ours without breaking the bank.

“Games like Elite Beat Agents, Feel the Magic, and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass have really made use of the touch-screen in unique and interesting ways that you wouldn’t be able to accomplish on any other platform.”

InLight is currently hard at work on Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys!, a puzzle-centric title that allows you to play the role of a teenage zombie, with zombie themed mini-games mixed in for good measure. It seems that the DS is generating a bigger fan club every day, whether it’s developers or gamers sounding its praises. It makes me happy, as it’s my favorite system to play games on and I hope to see it flourish.
