Fan mod aims to ‘eventually fix every bug with Fallout 4’

Hundreds of simple, safe fixes

Fallout 4 is a Bethesda game which is to say it is a buggy game. Sometimes that means something funny, like an NPC’s head on backwards; sometimes that means 40 hours of save data gets erased. The plainly-named “Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch” is, “a comprehensive bugfixing mod for Fallout 4.”

There’s an enormous changelog here.

“The goal of the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch (aka UFO4P) is to eventually fix every bug with Fallout 4 not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package,” its Nexus Mods page reads. It boasts “[h]undreds of gameplay, quest, NPC, object, item, text and placement bugs fixed,” efforts towards compatibility with other mods, and so on. Basically a one stop shop “easy” fix for people who don’t want to do much (yo!)

If you do plan on downloading it, make sure you’re currently on the “[o]fficial Fallout 4 patch 1.5.146 or greater.”
