A monkey decks a dude in the first trailer for ex-Witcher devs’ Seven

‘Beyond post-apocalyptic,’ for when post-apocalyptic just isn’t enough

Last year, Vikki caught wind of a new Thief-inspired isometric RPG called Seven, that just so happened to be made by some of the minds behind The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Today, IGN posted the first footage of the game.

The world itself looks interesting, a strange ‘beyond post-apocalyptic’ (haha) world where tentacled robots fly over both fantasy-esque villages and concrete, neon-lit factories alike. Though I wouldn’t have expected vertical traversal to be a large focus in an isometric game, the main character dashes across rooftops and slides through mud, which looks snazzy.

Clearly, however, the real star of the show is the monkey (or ape, I don’t know, I’m not a monkeyologist) who runs across a large pipe to deck a homie who was just trying to stand up. You can see him 35 seconds in, if you’re into that kind of thing. I definitely am.
