Starfy is coming to Super Mario Maker

Another great cameo

Starfy is a lesser-known character from the Nintendo universe, but that might be because he’s not wholly owned by Nintendo. In fact, he’s co-owned by Tose, creators of the Game & Watch franchise, as the Legend of Starfy games were only published by the Big N.

While only one Starfy game was released in the west, that isn’t stopping them from putting the character in Super Mario Maker as an event costume reward. Hopefully this leads to more visibility in the future, as the last Starfy title was released in 2008.
