Now’s one hell of a time to be alive if you’re a fan of System Shock. Not only is System Shock 3 on the way, but there’s also a complete HD remake of the first game in the works by Night Dive Studios, the team who gave us the enhanced re-releases of both System Shock and System Shock 2.

We’ve finally been blessed with some gameplay footage of the remake, and dang is it looking good. It might be a bit heavy on the bloom for my taste, but it’s still looking like a mighty fine upgrade from the post-Wolfenstein, pre-Quake-era graphics of the source material.

Night Dive hasn’t announced a release date yet, but it’s currently set to launch on PC and Xbox One when the time comes.
