They’re bloody everywhere now
In case you hadn’t already picked up Psychonauts when it was available on the Xbox 360, the PS3, or Steam, you’ll be pleased to hear it’s soon to make its way to the PS4. Or maybe not, I don’t know. If you haven’t bought it yet what are the chances you really care?
Community manager James Spafford made the announcement earlier today on the PlayStation blog, further shoving this once cult hit into the garish spotlight. I remember when Psychonauts was this forgotten gem of a game that you’d have to scavenge for in pawn shops and flea markets, hoping to find one of the original copies. Now its available on everything and has two sequels on the way, one of which is being designed for fancy new VR technology and the other a landmark crowdfunding success. How are snooty gamers going to lay claim to hipster cred by name dropping Psychonauts now? It’s almost as if people like the game and want to see more of it.
