Rock Band 4 to wipe leaderboards due to ‘gnarly bug’

That’s a cute way to put it

I enjoyed Rock Band 4 for the most part, but that game shipped with a few issues that weren’t discovered or sorted out until after launch. Mostly relating to physical instrument troubles, but there was another bug that folks found that triggers double overdrive, and thus, a manipulation of the online leaderboards.

To combat this “gnarly bug” Harmonix is going to reset all of the online rankings come January. Local scores won’t be wiped — just online ones. Either way, it’s unfortunate that the developer has taken this long to address the issue.
