Ubisoft: Nevermind, we don’t want SCi anymore. They cost too much

No love for Lara? Last month we heard buzz about the potential buyout of SCi Entertainment, who you might know better as Eidos. At the time, the rumor was that Ubisoft was in line to buy them up, but now it looks like they’ve moved on to other things.

“Ubisoft has no intention of making an offer for SCI-Eidos,” an Ubisoft spokesperson told Reuters. “We are looking at other opportunities for external and internal growth which can create more potential value for shareholders.”

With Ubisoft out of the equation, that still leaves the previously mentioned Time Warner and another unnamed Chinese company to nab Tomb Raider’s maker.
