Splatoon 2’s single-player looks pretty great

At the end of today’s Arms direct, Nintendo showed off some of the single-player from Splatoon 2. While it doesn’t look like a massive improvement over the first game, extra enemy variety and some nifty environments make it look great. There is also a distinct Jet Set Radio vibe from some of the grinding you can do.

Along with the trailer, we’ve got some artwork from Nintendo’s press site. I really like that art style and I’ve gotta say, I really love the style Marie is rocking at the intro of the trailer. Seeing her in a kimono is just too good. Also, where is Callie? According to the official website (and trailer description), she is missing and Marie is looking for help. Sounds riveting.

I guess we’ll have to wait for E3 to see more, but I’m excited.
