Too Human trailer: This is the generic action we’ve been waiting for?

Recommended Videos

I don’t know what I was expecting from Too Human, to be honest, but I know I was expecting something a little more than this. For a game that’s taken so long to develop and is surrounded by such lofty ideals (not to mention controversy), why does it look so … generic?

You know me, I like games where all you do is press a few buttons to make violence happen. However, I expected something far better from this game, and it certainly doesn’t look as good as Conan or Beowulf does. If I had to choose between either Beowulf or Too Human, based on trailers, I’d go for the former quite easily over Denis Dyack’s tempestuous baby.

As ever with trailers, one’s impressions cannot be fully realized without hands-on experience, but if the trailer’s job is to sell the game, this trailer doesn’t do it very well. As a concept, Too Human is certainly fantastic. As a game though, my interest has dropped thanks to this footage.

I wonder what Denis will blame this one on.
