Hollow Knight could be the next surprise indie hit

Such style. Much metroidvania. Wow.

The metroidvania-esque Hollow Knight took the Internet by storm yesterday, making it to the front page of reddit at least twice, and it could potentially be the next surprise indie hit following Undertale‘s recent success. The above trailer has racked up over half a million views since last night and is overwhelmingly upvoted. 

Hollow Knight has flown under my radar, but the gorgeous art style alone makes me want to play it. The game was funded on Kickstarter way back in December of 2014, and even then it looked pretty solid. I for one am looking forward to giving it a play when it releases for PC, Mac, Linux, and Wii U sometime in 2016.
