Game-streaming service PlayStation Now adding PS4 games

Knack isn’t confirmed, I just didn’t want to use a logo image

As it stands, PlayStation Now has been the place to stream a whole bunch of PlayStation 3 games like Red Dead Redemption and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on your Windows-based PC or PlayStation 4. But later this year, that in-the-cloud catalog will start to encompass PS4 games, too.

“All of the games in the service, including PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription,” says Sony. “We’ll share more information as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.”

More immediately, there will be a “private test with PS4 games on PS Now” in the next few weeks for current subscribers (you’ll know if you’re in via email).

This move was inevitable, so it’s good to get the news confirmed and out of the way. Pricing concerns for PS Now aside, streaming PS4 games sounds much more enticing to me than the current selection. And while it’s probably still fresh on your mind, if not, don’t forget that Sony is discontinuing Now on all currently-supported devices (PS Vita, PS3, select televisions) this year except for PS4 and PC.
