Ninja Theory’s facial tech for Hellblade is pretty rad

Although I trust Ninja Theory in terms of gameplay as far as I can throw them, they know how to make a pretty piece of art, that’s for sure. This new developer video explains the process a bit for Hellblade, mostly in terms of how the facial capture tech was implemented.

The main character is actually modeled after Melina Juergens, a video editor on the team, and she shares her experiences in the video above, which involve some really cool low and high tech solutions.

Hellblade is still on track for a 2016 release on PC and PS4.
