On August 25

Riot Games is getting ready to switch over their central servers from the west coast to Chicago, which should help alleviate latency issues all across the country for League of Legends players. Now, we know that the publisher intends to make the move on August 25, which will be followed by a weekend stress-test from August 28-30.

They’re aiming for a zero-downtime transfer of server activity at off-hours, which means that although you may experience some server hops, but you should be able to play consistently during the move. The Portland servers will be converted to a disaster-recovery backup center at that time.

Sounds good! Let’s see how it goes.
